We spend a beautyfull sunny week at La Croix de la Jarrie. Catherine wanted everything to be perfect - and it was. Our children playede with the other children. The place was quired and peacefull. We recomend it to anyone We've just spent a week at La Croix de la Jarrie and cannot give enough praise to Catherine for the fantastic accomodation, the welcome, the detailed local info, and the on-going help she provided during our stay.
If we were looking for a place in which to stay in the area at some point in the future, without a single hesitation, this would be our first choice; we heartily recommend this location to family, friends and strangers alike!

We very much enjoyed our holiday at La Croix de la Jarrie. The accomodation is very clean and comfortable and the owners were very welcoming and helpful in suggesting places to visit. The location is ideal for visiting Disney, Paris, Provins and many other places of interest.

The flat was beautiful and Chatrine was very-very nice. She helped us a lot. I hope i can return to Chätres soon. My wife and two young children and I spent 6 nights at this fantastic lodging. Our apartment was clean, very well equiped and comfortable. The location was perfect with Disney, Paris and other attractions very close. Catherine was very helpful and provided us with much needed local knowledge and assistance. I would highly reccommend this place to anyone with or without a family, and would definately return again. That rare thing a holiday let that trully more than lived up to its description and pictures,Catherine our hostess made us feel most welcome and was there to provide help and information at all times,the house was extremely comfortable and very centrally situated, allowing us to visit the disney park with ease but also allowed us to access more cultural activities such as Provins and Vaux Le Vicomte,Paris also being only a short drive away.Would definately visit again and recommend to all my friends 23 agosto 2008
Siamo tornati a casa ieri sera dopo una settimana trascorsa a La Croix de la Jarrie. Ci siamo trovati molto bene: l'appartamento in cui abbiamo alloggiato è assai carino e accogliente, pulitissimo, ordinato e accessoriato. Chaterine, la proprietaria, ci è stata molto di aiuto per conoscere la zona (negozi, luoghi di interesse, trasporti...).La posizione degli appartamenti è assai tranquilla, accanto ad una tipica fattoria della zona. Il villaggio è carino, silenzioso, ma non ha negozi: i più vicini supermercati si trovano a 4-5 Km e si raggiungono comunque facilmente. dopo una giornata trascorsa a visitare Parigi o i suoi dintorni, è molto rilassante tornare in un posto così tranquillo. It was a pleasure to stay at the spotless accommodation , tiled floors with rugs so no problems with dust. Catherine (the owner) has provided a lovely base to tour the area with lovely white towels and bed linens even tea towels. The beds are very comfortable and makes a lovely retreat after a hard day pounding the streets at the Parks. Catherine speaks good English and is so warm and welcoming it makes the holiday stress free and her maps and local information are really useful.
A year on the gite was impeccable as last year July 2007 when we visited. A welcome addition was the washing machine and airer this year. My one tip is to take mugs along as the french coffee cups are teeny for an english brew.
Many Thanks Catherine and we hope to return another year. Really pleasantly suprised when we drove up how lovely the apartment and grounds looked.
Great welcome by the owner Catherine, who explained everything well and took her time to give loads of information about local ammenities and sights to see and do. (45mins)
Fantastic area and a great base for disney, Paris and surrounding areas. If you have kids,we would highly recommend Provins, in particular seeing the Legend of the Knights and of course Disney!
The drive to Disney and Paris was easy and the roads were good. Chatres is only minutes from the motorway.
We would definitely recommend and would use again.
The facilities were spotlessly clean and tidy and catered well for your needs. There was a washing machine, dishwasher and microwave and a generous fridge freezer.
Great back garden to sit or for the kids to play in.
This is a high quality accomodation for reasonable price.
If we had to fault anything, the only thing would be it was very warm the week we went (over 30 degrees)and the apartment has no air conditioning or fans, but to be honest this is being picky.
All in all a great little place to stay in beautiful surroundings for budget hotel money.
Karen Sal and Alfie Just returned from a wonderful week at La Croix de la Jarrie. The apartment was a home away from home. Catherine was extremely welcoming and took the time to advise us where to go, what to do, what was open and when it was open. An ideal base for visits to Disney and Paris. Would highly recommend the candle lit evening visit to the Chateau Vaux Le Vicomte on friday evenings....especially the champagne bar. An excellent way to end your week. We have just returned home from a wonderful holiday with our two children aged 3 & 10 on Catherine's estate in Chatres. This was due in no small part to the fabulous accommodation we stayed in. The apartment which was really more like a house & included a garden was in absolutely pristine condition on our arrival & had every amenity you could ask for. The village is beautiful & very peaceful & perfectly located for visiting Disney, Paris, Fontainebleau & Provins to name but a few of the places we visited. Also Catherine was able to recommend many other places for us to visit that we had not thought of ourselves. She & her husband were very welcoming & helpful to us & were genuinely concerned that we would get the most out of our stay in their country. We would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation to anyone & hope to return ourselves next year! Our french is not nearly as good as your english and this made communication so easy and friendly.
The apartment is beautiful and very comfortable and the setting is quiet and relaxing. The facilities at the apartment are superb and it was a genuine pleasure to stay with you.
Once we got used to the road signs, Chatres is quite easy to find and a perfect location from which to explore Paris and EuroDisney as we did during our stay.
Our family of 4 couldn't be more pleased and would be very happy to recommend your accomodation to anyone.

The apartment was large enough for all 7 members of my family and we were very comfortable! Chatres is a very convenient location, only 15 minutes from Disneyland Paris and only 45 minutes from Paris. It was absolutely perfect!

Lors de nos prochains déplacements dans la région parisienne, nous n'hésiterons pas à revenir dans ce lieu chaleureux.Je recommande trés fortement ce gîte au nom de toute l'équipe ADF.

What a WONDERFUL holiday we had with our two children (three and one year old) at Catherine's lovely estate. Only 15 minutes from Disneyland Paris we were able to enjoy two days with Mickey and Co. Then it was off on another day to Paris and all of the sites it had to offer - and this by train also only 15 minutes from the apartment. Another day we went to Val D'Europe to enjoy SeaLife Aquarium and a little shopping. And then it was off to see some palaces nearby.
Of course, the apartment was a home away from home during our week in France. It was quiet and peaceful with all of the amenities we could have ever asked for. And the kids stayed each in their own rooms and we were able to enjoy the evenings going to bed at a normal hour (not with the kids!)
Catherine and her husband are wonderfully warm hosts and we can recommend staying with them very highly.
Honestly, it was the best vacation we have had in years!!!!!!!

Message de Gégé, envoyé le 05/11/2007 à 19:13 Nous avons loué 2 gites, afin de fêter les 18 ans de notre fille et de notre nièce, ainsi que les 20 ans de notre autre nièce. Euro disney bien sûr, le parc animalier des félins, qui est une superbe ballade. Bref un week end de rêve en famille.
Nous avons été bien acceuilli dans ce superbe gîte, très tranquille et très propre. A recommander.

My family and I had a truly great holiday here. The house was clean, modern and well furnished. It is ideally located for days out to Disneyland, Provins, Fontainebleu and Paris and the owner Catherine is very helpful.[br] I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.
Message de Romilda-Malte, envoyé le 25/09/2007 à 09:26 Our holiday in La Croix de la Jarrie was wonderful the apartments are new and very confortable.From Chatres one could go everywhere in a few minutes such as Eifel tower,Champ Eleeys,Arc de triomphe and much more.You can't go to Paris and not visit Disneyland resort,this is only 15-20 minutes away by car.
Catherine and her husband are wonderful people and you can't get lost in Paris because they will really help you and guide you, they even show you where to go.
I can't describe how wonderful and relax my holiday was. It was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ROMILDA

Il paese è tranquillissimo, ma serve la macchina e non ci sono negozi (che sono nel paese vicino).
C'è posto per giocare per i bambini nel giardino e noi ci siamo trovati benissimo.
Posto ideale per muoversi in macchina verso Eurodisney, Parigi e castelli vari.
Het is een mooi, nieuw apartament, modern ingericht , met veel ruimte. Alles werkt prima en de eigenaresse is heel sympatiek en beschikbaar.
Het dorpje is heel rustig, er zijn geen winkels (die zijn in het stadje verderop), dus je hebt wel en auto nodig.
Er is plaats voor de kinderen om te spelen in de tuin. We hebben het erg naar ons zin gehad.
Ideale basis om naar Eurodisney en Paris te gaan en de Kastelen in de buurt te bezoeken.
